Applying Best Practices and Providing Extensive Reporting for a Client’s PMO
Client Challenge
Our client operated a PMO supporting several large projects and initiatives within facility management and the digital operations center space. This client’s internal team of project managers were not trained on PMI best practices, and as a result, projects were not delivered as efficiently as they could be.
Our Solution
We worked with key stakeholder to understand their current PMO, map relationships, and document the project pipeline. From there, we created project timelines and plans, executed and managed the delivery of projects (using Jira to track and manage deliverables), and measured and reported on KPIs.
- Expanded the project to support an additional organization.
- Quantified efforts by aligning KPIs to each supported organization while measuring tasks completed/due for completion, tying those tasks to milestones, and capturing all deliverables completed.
- Expanded the team from two to seven members.

Driving Significant Cost Savings and Efficiencies Within a Client’s PMO
Client Challenge
Our client had over 30 project management team members servicing technology-based clients within their PMO. However, the organization’s PMO was subject to a tenure policy that made it difficult to continue staffing highly proficient and experienced project managers and caused them to allocate a large amount of time and budget to hiring, onboarding, and training talent on an annual basis.
Our Solution
By providing full management of our client’s PMO, we were able to circumvent the tenure rule and alleviate much of the overhead work for stakeholders.
- Significantly decreased the amount of time required for a new hire to be quantifiably productive with our training program.
- Drove an approximate cost savings of $173k with the migration to Jira.
- Created and conducted Intro to Jira and Jira Portfolio trainings, driving a total cost savings of $38k for our client.
