About the Client
A leading international telecommunications provider that strives to make a positive impact on the local environment and improve the health of nearby communities. They recognized the environmental consequences of poor waste disposal practices of electronics and network project installations.
Challenge
Avoid Non-Compliance with EPA Regulations
Following legislation enacted by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) mandating proper disposal of enterprise waste, our client needed a partner to audit their sites, assess the quality of their waste management program, correct any issues, and recommend measures to become compliant.
Solution
Evergreen assessed and transformed our client’s waste management compliance plan with logistics for 200 sites. We optimized logistics and implemented real-time data collection and same-day reporting while also leveraging our GIS expertise to plan the most efficient routes for resources.
Detailed Data, Actionable Insights
We conducted detailed assessments of hardware waste disposal methods and materials (e.g., batteries, cables, and cardboard) at the sites, then shared actionable data insights with the client’s internal team of renewable waste managers.
Equipped with previously unavailable metrics, they transformed their disposal process and corrected non-compliance in waste management strategy and implementation—avoiding significant fines.
