About Rob
Rob Redmond is Agile Coach and Management Consultant for Insight Global’s professional services division, Evergreen. In this role, Rob trains our Scrum Teams, counsels our clients to help them solve problems, works with our scrum masters and agile coaches on their skills, and is the co-creator of the Agile Summit, our experience for leaders to understand their contribution to developing a lean organization. Rob is also co-author of the Agile Summit, a soon-to-be-published book about how to connect decisions to business outcomes.
Prior to joining Insight Global, Rob worked for AT&T for over 20 years in various roles, including IT Project Manager, Senior Technical Director, and Associate Director of Digital Business Solutions.
Most recently, he served as Principal Agile Coach for Cricket Wireless, where he led an Agile transformation initiative. Rob spearheaded efforts to replace traditional waterfall methods with leaner practices like Kanban and Scrum, built communities of practice for product owners and Scrum masters, trained new teams, and established a guiding coalition of leaders to accelerate change. He made several lasting contributions during his time with AT&T, such as redesigning the AT&T Project Management Network’s PMI-ACP course and serving as its instructor.
Redmond graduated from the University of the State of New York in 1990. He earned his MBA in Information Technology from Georgia State University in 2000, where he studied everything from UX design to people management.
He holds several licenses and certifications in Scrum and Kanban practices.
